PAF undertakes appraisal of operational doctrine, says deputy chief
LAHORE: Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Operations) Air Marshal Sohail Aman has said that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has undertaken a major appraisal of assets, developmental plans and operational doctrine to meet the future challenges.
Addressing the graduation ceremony of 48th Operational Training Course at School of Air Defence, Sakesar, Air Marshal Aman said: “The profession of air defence demands outstanding and meticulous precision, leaving nothing to chance. While the PAF leadership remains aware of the changing dynamics of warfare.”
Later, the chief guest awarded certificates and trophies to winners. The trophy for overall best performance was awarded to Pilot Officer Arif Rasheed whereas Pilot Officer Muhammad Asad Raza was awarded the best trophy in Ground Controlled Interception (GCI).
The School of Air Defence is one of the premier PAF institutions where newly-graduated and mid-level Air Defence Officers of the PAF are trained for assumption of operational duties. Earlier, Air Commodore Arif Burq, base commander, PAF Base Sakesar, received the chief guest on his arrival.
