1965 war was undoubtedly won by Pakistan: minister
‘India failed in its aggression while Pakistan remained successful in defending its territory’

ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that 1965 war was undoubtedly won by Pakistan and this has also been recognised by the world.

Addressing a function in connection with the Defence of Pakistan Day here on Sunday, he said that on this day India failed in its aggression while Pakistan remained successful in defending its territory. He said besides armed forces, every segment of the society played pivotal role in defence of Pakistan.

– Spirit of patriotism in nation –

He paid tributes to the Radio Pakistan and the Press Information Department for the pivotal role played by them in the war of 1965. He said the singers and poets through their voice and pen infused a new spirit of patriotism in the nation in 1965.

The minister also paid rich tributes to industrialists, traders and vendors who maintained supply line during the war. He said the enemies want to destabilise Pakistan politically and economically through terrorism. He urged the nation to foil nefarious designs of the enemy through unity.
