RAWALPINDI - Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the Corps Commanders here at the General Headquarters.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, the army chief reviewed the internal and external security situation, including the ongoing and future operations against terrorism in Pakistan.
Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Major General Aamer Riaz took the conference into confidence over his recently-held talks on security matters with Afghan authorities in Kabul.
The meeting also reviewed the security situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary, which has remained tense for the past two months due to unprovoked firing by the Indian forces.
General Sharif expressed satisfaction over the progress achieved in the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb military operation in North Waziristan and said that the operation would continue till terrorism was completely eliminated from the country.
