Eid sacrifices in private slaughter houses challenged in LHC
INPLAHORE – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday summoned a reply from Punjab Food Authority on September 17 in petition challenging private slaughter houses’ advertisements and offers, regarding ritual sacrifices on Eidul Adha.
The petitioner’s counsel said that private slaughter houses were utter unhygienic places and do not fulfill PFA’s requirements. He said that slaughter houses should not be allowed to perform Eid sacrifices.
The petitioner requested the court to ban private slaughter houses. The LHC has summoned a reply from the PFA in the matter by September 17.
