Security bodies asked to apprehend terrorists’ financiers
Nisar stresses cooperation between FIA, State Bank
INPISLAMABAD – Minister for Interior Affairs Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has directed the Federal Investigation Agency and the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) to take immediate action against the financial sponsors of terrorists.
Presiding over a meeting here on Monday, he also directed both the institutions to take stringent measures in order to overcome financial assistance of the terrorists. He stressed the need for enhancing cooperation between the Federal Investigation Agency and the State Bank of Pakistan in this regard.
“War against terrorists is difficult, but it is not impossible to win and the government is determined to wipe out terrorists at all costs,” he added. The FIA officials presented details of doubtful bank accounts in the meeting and informed the minister that investigations were underway to apprehend the culprits.
