President witnesses navy’s defence capabilities demonstration
APPKARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday witnessed Pakistan Navy’s four dimensional defence capabilities demonstration here at PNS Qasim, Manora. According to a Pakistan Navy press release, the demonstration was arranged in connection with the golden jubilee celebrations of 1965 War Pakistan. President Mamnoon Hussain, who was the chief guest on the occasion, was received by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah on his arrival. Pakistan Navy’s four dimensional capabilities were displayed by Submarine, Aircraft, Naval Commandos and Marines. To cap the event a counter-terrorism demonstration was also held by Naval Commandos. Speaking on the occasion, the President praised Pakistan Navy’s heroic performances during 1965 War and expressed his entire satisfaction at the level of its capabilities that were demonstrated earlier. The President stressed that Pakistan was a peace loving nation, however, if required, its armed forces were fully prepared to thwart all nefarious designs.
