Achakzai calls on PM, discusses ‘national affairs’
ISLAMABAD – Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party President and Member of National Assembly Mehmood Khan Achakzai called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the PM House, according to a press release on Wednesday.
Matters relating to mutual interest and national affairs were discussed during the meeting. Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz chaired a high-level meeting to review the progress on LNG Power Plants and Sahiwal Coal Power Plant.
He directed the ministries and departments concerned to finalise all required procedures for in time commencement of work on the power plants. The prime minister also directed to ensure observance of legal formalities in the preparatory work and agreements and to maintain transparency relating to all aspects of the projects.
Minister for Finance Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Minister for Water and Water Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Railways Saad Rafique, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and secretaries and high officials of the ministries concerned attended the meeting.
