Karachi to experience heat spell over next three days
KARACHI: Citizens in Karachi should brace for a spell of heat yet again as the weather department predicts that the mercury will rise over the next three days in the metropolis by the sea.
Although the city is often shielded from intense temperatures by the cool sea breeze blowing in from its southwestern beaches, but experts say that warmer northwestern winds are likely to blow through the city in the next few days, taking temperatures to higher than 40 degrees Celsius.
According to Met Dept Director Abdul Rasheed, citizens are advised to take as much fluids as possible and to avoid going outdoors unnecessarily. Doing so will not expose them to the dangers of heatstroke, he said.
