Funeral prayers offered for martyrs of Badaber attack
PESHAWAR: Funeral prayers for the martyrs of Friday’s terrorist attack on the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) camp in Badaber were offered at the Corps Head Quarters here today.
The funeral prayers were attended by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as well as Khawaja Asif, Pervaiz Rasheed, CM Parvez Khattak and others.
29 people, including 15 worshipers offering Fajr prayers were martyred when terrorists clad in Frontier Constabulary uniforms attacked the PAF camp about 10 kilometres from Peshawar.
The martyrs included three members of the armed forces who repelled the attackers at the PAF residential compound in Badaber.
Army Captain Isfandyar Bukhari embraced martyrdom while fighting valiantly and leading his troops from the front, said DG ISPR Maj-Gen Asim Bajwa.
