PM to chair high-level meeting on security today
ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will chair a high-level meeting in Islamabad today to discuss security matters of Pakistan, private TV channel reported.
The meeting will discuss Peshawar Air Force base attack, operation Zarb-e-Azb besides overall law and order situation. A head of this meeting, the prime minister will meet Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan – who will brief him over the prevailing law and order situation.
According to channel, the high level meeting would be attended by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, the other services chiefs, the interior minister, Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and ISI DG Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar Malik.
Interior Secretary Shahid Khan, DG IB Aftab Sultan, ISPR DG Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, DGMO Major General Aamer Riaz, DGMI Major General Nadeem Zaki Manj and other senior officials would be also present in the meeting.
The channel sources pointed out that the huddle would discuss the future plan of action to curb terror activities in the light of the initial probe report regarding attack on Badaber. The security officials would submit the report in the meeting.
