Sindh governor, Rangers chief discuss Karachi operation

KARACHI – Sindh Rangers Director General Major General Bilal Akbar called on Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad and discussed law and order situation in the province, especially in Karachi.
In the meeting held at here at the Governor’s House on Wednesday, it was reiterated that Sindh would be cleansed of terrorism. Dr Ebad applauded the services of the paramilitary force.
He said that traders and businessmen had taken advantage of the improved law and order from Ramadan up to the eve of Eidul Adha, adding that there was brisk business activity as compared to the previous years.
Rangers Director General Major General Bilal Akbar said that the people had expressed their confidence in the Rangers and that his organisation would come up to their expectations. “The recent success is due to the confidence reposed by the people,” he added,
He pointed out that many personnel of Rangers had sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism. The two leaders were of the view that no stone would be left unturned for making Karachi peaceful.
