Chinese delegation expresses desire to work with Punjab government in oil, gas sector

LAHORE - A delegation of Chinese investors associated with oil and gas sector met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here on Wednesday and discussed prospects of investment in oil and gas sector in Punjab.
The delegation evinced keen interest in investment in oil and gas sector in the province. Talking to the Chinese delegation, the chief minister said that relations between Pakistan and China have turned into useful economic contacts. He welcomed the interest shown by the Chinese delegation in investment in oil and gas sector in the province and assured that all out facilities will be provided for this purpose.
He directed the authorities concerned to consider setting up of a separate department for oil and gas in Punjab. The Chinese delegation expressed desire to work with Punjab government in oil and gas sector. Provincial Minister for Minerals Sher Ali, Punjab Power Development Company Chairman Arif Saeed, Minerals Secretary and Energy Secretary were also present on the occasion.
