NewsWon’t allow institutions to degrade politicians: Khursheed Shah
ISLAMABAD: Leader of opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah on Wednesday said the institutions will not be allowed to humiliate the political leadership of the country.
In a statement issued here, Khursheed Shah said there should be no more distinction on the basis of ‘sacred and non-sacred cow’.
“The standards of accountability should be same for all,” he asserted, adding, those subjecting others to accountability should also be treated similarly.
Khursheed Shah said a committee should be set up for preventing prejudice in the process of accountability. “We would never support a step that is extra-judicial or extra-constitutional,” he added.
