Shah Mehmood visits MQM-P headquarters

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, along with other senior party leaders paid a visit to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan’s (MQM-P’s) temporary headquarters at Bahadrabad Karachi on Tuesday.

In his meeting with MQM-P’s chief Farooq Sattar, Qureshi sought MQM’s support for changing the opposition leader in National Assembly (NA).

Both leaders decided to table a no-confidence motion against Opposition Leader Khurshid Shah in the NA.

They also discussed the political situation of Sindh and agreed to join hands to build a strong opposition against the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the province.

The two of them also agreed to improve the working relationships between both parties.

“The dialogue process between both parties has been started from today,” Farooq Sattar said.

PTI leader Asad Omer also said at this occasion that MQM-P should help Shah Mehmood replace Khurshid Shah as the opposition leader.

Qureshi was accompanied by fellow party members, Imran Ismail and Firdous Shamim Naqvi whereas Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Amir Khan and Ali Raza Abidi were among the attendees from MQM-P.
