FM summons Pakistani envoy to UK over ‘indecent’ act at awards show

The Foreign Office on Thursday summoned Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Sahibzada Ahmed Khan after Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi took notice of the diplomat’s “inappropriate” conduct at a London awards show. “I am dismayed by the actions of our high commissioner to the UK and have asked him to return to Pakistan and provide an explanation for his behaviour at the IPPA Awards held in London,” the foreign minister said in a tweet. Qureshi became cognisant of the high commissioner’s antics through reports on social and electronic media, the FO said. The video features an ostensible inebriated Khan delivering a speech. He then asks select celebs to join him onstage to present a tribute.
