Happy
Thanksgiving

Traditionally it is the season to share, care
& invite family and friends to a feast. Hopefully
we will remember to be thankful for each other
and for all our blessings.
To some of us, the spirit of Thanksgiving means
more than that. We think deeper thoughts and ponder
deeper questions, and a new struggle starts.
What are we thankful for this year?
I can't answer for others but I am thankful for
being alive. I am thankful for my faith which
keeps me focused, grounded, calm and peaceful
under the current violent atmosphere in our world.
I am thankful for my children who are the joy
& the light of my life and for my family for
all their unconditional love & support, (
especially my mother who is terminally ill).
I am blessed with caring friends and a place to
call home: my country, where I can still voice
my opinion. I am thankful for my remaining freedoms.
Most of all, I am very thankful to have a heart
that holds neither hate nor anger towards another
human being but instead feels compassion and empathy
for the victims of injustice and oppression.
I would love to alleviate that pain from the world
if I could. That is where I need your help. In
this festive season please remember those who
are struggling in all aspects of their life. Please,
please try to stand by them to strength their
voices, to fulfill their needs and to give the
gift of hope.
Let us all care about only one race: The Human
Race.
