This refers to an article ‘Irshad
Manjil’s Controversial Message’ by
Dr. S Amjad Hussain in your issue of November
26, 2004.
When the book entitled "The Trouble with
Islam" was published and Ms Manji was under
the spotlight – she appeared in various
TV programs - I sent her an e-mail which is reproduced
below. She replied to me that she would soon send
a comprehensive reply but I have not received
her comprehensive reply even after 10 months.
In the meantime, I have sent reminders to her.
(1) You claim to be a Muslim
but your name contains "Manji" which
is the Buddhist Swastika or symbol of the Nazi
Party of Germany, called Hakenkreuz in the German
language. A Muslim would never like to have such
a symbol in his/her name. (In fact no Muslim has
it.)
(2) You have confirmed that you
are a homosexual. Homosexuality is forbidden not
only in Islam but also in Christianity and Judaism.
This means you are neither a Muslim, nor a Christian,
nor a Jew.
(3) The people who are supporting
you will make you fall on your head when they
are done with you.
