Arafat’s
Death

With the death of President Yasser Arafat, an
important chapter in the history of modern-day
struggle against illegal occupation has come to
an end.
President Arafat was a symbol of hope, aspiration,
fearless leadership, and inspiration for millions
all across the globe. Very few in the West know
that he was elected by a clear majority vote of
at least 68% by his people - a mandate which most
elected Western leaders don’t enjoy.
It’s a sad day as the “Father of Palestine”
has died and I doubt if real peace in the troubled
Middle East, especially in the “Occupied
Land,” could be achieved after his departure.
May Allah Almighty shower His Blessings upon him
and grant peace to his soul
