Pakistan cricket team’s
impressive victory against the English team is
indicative of what is in the offing for the visitors.
They may well face more upsets and debacles.
A run chase in the second innings is often nerve-rattling.
The English team had given a good account of itself
in the recent series against Australia and it
was expected that it would win against Pakistan.
The odds were against Pakistan. But the home side
won, thanks to a spirited team effort and fine
bowling.
In my opinion, the England team’s defeat
was a result of their over-confidence. The Pakistanis,
on the other hand, remained focused and bent on
winning at any cost.
