The
Two-Nation Theory

I have earlier written about
the Two-Nation Theory, and can only confirm my
views that the Muslims have a strong community
feeling and it is good that Pakistan was established.
The great pity is that the Kashmir issue was not
sorted out at the very beginning. The valley should
have gone its own way with a decision taken by
a UN-supervised referendum.
The other thing is that all Muslims should have
been accommodated in Pakistan, leaving no Muslims
in India.
Facts are that Muslims in India do not feel that
they are Indians, and the majority of Hindu' do
not consider them to be Indians either. Muslims
are Muslims with their own way of praying, living
and thinking. They will never be anything but
Muslims in India, the US., Britain, etc. However
many political parties, especially the communists,
are unwillingly and unable to accept such simple
facts of life. Issues such as the special identity
of Muslims cannot be swept under the carpet for
any length of time.
Constant conflicts between Muslims and Hindus
confirm this view.
