Democracy
in Pakistan

Benazir and Nawaz Sharif took turns to plunder
the national coffer. They failed the nation not
once but twice. What they preached proved to be
a bluff and what they are preaching now at the
behest of their colonial masters is a recipe for
bloodshed in Pakistan.
The Charter of Democracy to me is a “Deserters
Democracy Deal”. A cover-up of their crimes
or projection of a soft image by the media may
damage the efforts of President Musharraf. There
is no doubt that the General is sincere to his
people but he is confronted with enormous challenges
at home and abroad.
