Task for Religious Scholars

The violent protests resulting in
loss of life and property in Pakistan's major
cities, especially Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad,
in the last few days goes to show that we as Muslims
are not any different from the hooligans who incited
such kind of provocation.
Granted religious sentiments are very fragile
but the fact that the protests are happening many
months after is equally condemnable Our religious
leaders use their platform to encourage such loathsome
behavior so that they could score points on the
political front..
I urge scholars like Dr Muzzamil Siddiqi, Dr Mehr
Hatout, Dr Sakar and the like to form an ad hoc
committee and condemn such deplorable acts of
madness.
