Hate

Hate. That is one word that
truly frightens me. And indeed, it should. It
is a weapon we use in attempts to defend ourselves
because of our weak morale. Although our society
preaches to hate hatred, we still love to hate.
This perplexed phenomenon is simply human nature.
We hate because we do not understand. We hate
because we do not like. We hate because we are
intimidated. We hate because we feel threatened.
Let's learn to understand ideas, to like people
who may not be like us, to be courageous about
new changes. Because it is only through inclusion
and acceptance that we can eliminate the strength
of hate from our perceptions.
