The following blurb "A Fiery
Proposition" appears in The Bulletin of Atomic
Scientists, Nov/Dec 2006, page 11. Although the
magazine deals with nuclear/security issues, the
article contains the word Jihadists without any
understanding of the Islamic concept of JIHAD
and taints our Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) with a
fabricated statement - connecting it with Hadiths.
We strongly protest the publication of such disinformation,
totally misleading, in a professional journal
which was launched by many Nobel Laureates for
the sake of peace. The contents of this small
"blurb" are not only misleading but
also inflammatory by linking Muslims and Prophet
Mohammed (PBUH) with arson and deliberately setting
forest fires anywhere in the world, without mentioning
the destruction of thousands of orchards of olive
trees in occupied territories in Palestine since
1948.
