Sh. Rashid,
Durrani and Tariq Azeem
By Dr. Ghayur Ayub

Sheikh
Rashid as Information Minister was capable of
making the most boring or controversial subject
interesting and convincing with an added touch
of humour.
The body language of present Information Minister
Durrani appears atrocious, his oration sounds
deceptive,e and his approach to sensitive questions
smacks of ignorance. After listening to him one
feels like going out in the open to take a breath
of fresh air.
Mr. Tariq Azeem has no patience; he sits uncomfortably
and frequently loses focus during discussions
making them personal and unconvincing.
Coming back to Mr Durrani; how on earth as a ‘civilian’
information minister he dares to threaten the
Pakistani public in general and journalists in
particular not to criticise the Army? Did he read
different rule books than Estacode or Constitution
of Pakistan? General Musharaf must have strong
reasons for keeping him as Information Minister.
