Colonial Mindset
of Umpires & ICC

After Hair’s hairy incident at the Oval,
cricket has seized to be a gentlemen’s game.
A gentlemen’s game needs to be officiated
by “gentlemen” umpires and not by
officials who show favoritism to the “First
World” players and discriminate against
the “Third World” players.
The ICC needs to change its historical colonial
mindset by getting rid of umpires who still act
as colonial masters. It is 21st century, and there
is no place in cricket for umpires who are still
living in the colonial past. Time has come to
move the ICC headquarters to the East!
