Muslims Solidarity
Day

Today,
millions of Muslims are suffering from aggression,
occupation and even annihilation at the hands
of non-Muslims. In the last six years, foreign
forces have occupied three Muslim nations.
Besides, Afghanistan , Iraq and Somalia occupied
by USA and its allies, Muslims in Palestine ,
Kashmir, and Chechnya are persecuted by controlling
authorities. Genocide of Muslims has taken place
in Bosnia, Chechnya , Iraq and Afghanistan and
Kosovo in the last 20 years. The trend to attack,
subjugate and kill Muslims is on the rise. There
is a distinct possibility of Western aggression
against Iran, Syria and Pakistan.
Partly, Muslims are themselves to blame for this
sad state of affairs; however, mostly the situation
is attributable to Western countries’ greed
and desire to control Muslim resources. It is
even more bothersome to witness Muslim apathy
towards the continued plight of their fellow co-religionists
and as a result, most of the world is not even
aware of the atrocities being committed against
Muslims.
The most representative Muslim body, Organization
of Islamic Countries (OIC), should declare one
day a year for liberation of each of these territories.
Muslim scholars and media should highlight the
suffering of Muslims world over. A Muslim solidarity
and liberation day be assigned to Palestine, Kashmir
, Iraq , Afghanistan , Chechnya, Somalia and Kosovo.
