A Serious Matter

A lady from Sargodha, Nighat Yasmeen, in her letter has crossed the limits by questioning most unwarrantedly and casting aspersions on the ‘upbringing’, the ‘environment’, the ‘blood’ and the ‘maternal milk’ of those who unlike her do not castigate ‘Musharraf and his henchmen’ for their doings. It makes her sick to see their courage to defend them. Lady, the feeling is mutual and it is equally disgusting and nauseating to find a few around who have the cheek to do so. Day in and day out they lambaste him with all kinds of unsavoury words and the most powerful dictator just smiles it away benignly. Had there been a political leader in his place and subjected to even a fraction of it, the culprits would have found themselves either in Dulai Camp, Changa Manga jungles or flown to Swat in chartered planes.
The lady in the spur of the moment recounting ‘the destruction caused by Musharraf to the institutions and the decimation of the Superior Judiciary just for his personal cause’, goes on to say in the same breath, “At least 150 people were mercilessly killed, many more maimed on October 18, just to convey a message to BB to remain in limits. When she didn’t pay heed to that blood soaked message, she was eliminated physically”. Eliminated, by whom? I hope she is not implying or implicating Musharraf or his government in the murder of BB. This allegation could be serious and not a matter to smile at by anyone, including Musharraf.
