Biased Media

We have all read and heard of the misdeeds of the Sharif brothers – Nawaz and Shahbaz. To document them, one needs at least 1000 pages. Nawaz is power-hungry: he has been investing all his resources on the media and the lawyers’ movement to oust the President.
In Karachi last Monday the city mayor Mustafa Kamal introduced the "command and control system" set up to check on street crimes. The opening ceremony was televised by the media, including some biased channels.
During his speech mayor Kamal and governor Ishrat-ul-Ibad lauded the efforts of President Musharraf and disclosed that he was invited to inaugurate the command and control system but e had more pressing engagements to attend to and could not come.
Dr. Ibad criticized the so-called "ex-Army men, civil society, lawyers and political parties,” and rightly so. When he commented that every party and its supporters had made our president a punching bag to pass some insinuating and disparaging remarks to get cheap publicity, the Express TV abruptly discontinued its live telecast! This shows the real face of the biased media. They are actually projecting only one side of the picture. The ground reality is quite different from what is being portrayed.
