David Morgan’s Comments

The comments by David Morgan, the current ICC president, to support the abrupt and impromptu call by the MCC to overturn the already overturned decision of the ill-
fated 2006 Oval Test Match is not only surprising but also mind boggling.
Firs,t it was the controversial umpire Darrel Hair who was wrong, unprofessional and inept in his infamous "Four Minutes" decision to declare the test a victory to England by forfeit against the will of the match referee and other match officials.
Now David Morgan is following suit since the ICC unanimously voted to overturn the decision just three months back under his watch.
It merits mention that the ICC decision to change the result of the controversial 2006 test match was effected only after a vote in which all ICC voting members took part and unanimously voted to change the controversial decision actually spearheaded by umpire Darrel Hair in the guise of the two match umpires.
By all democratic, civilized, educated and mature standards the ICC vote can't be overturned just by a call of MCC since ICC is the global supreme body of cricket and all of its decisions are binding on everybody related to cricket directly or indirectly, implicitly or explicitly, knowingly or unknowingly irrespective of who they are, which race, ethnicity, color, creed, class, gender and school of thought they belong to, and where they come from, including ECB as well as MCC.
Two wrongs never make a right.
If David Morgan is so much concerned about the democratic vote of the ICC in July this year why didn't he say anything when the vote took place? Furthermore, why did he remain silent at that particular point in time when the ugly incident actually happened at the famous Oval cricket ground since he was also the chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board at that particular moment in time and history?
Somebody is wrong in this whole saga of events since 2006 when the test match was declared forfeited. Either it could be Darrel Hair, ICC, MCC or David Morgan. I leave the answer to the enlightened readers of your paper.
