A Wedding at the President House

A few pictures immortalising the event and showing the President, the PM and others enjoying the entrancing festivities are circulating on the Internet. The House, true to its tradition and expectations, is lavishly bedecked with flowers and other embellishments. A picture of the Quaid in the background imparts singular honour to the newly-weds. Fully liveried waiters with the President House crest adorning their chests are seen serving delicious food to the guests. In short, the occasion radiates every inch the regal aura and regalia befitting the occasion.
Naturally, a question or two come to the mind of the uninitiated as to how such a private function could be held at the President House? Who bore the expenses? (I hope not me as a tax payer.) Is this facility also available to others?
I just don't understand why our rulers indulge in such irresponsible acts unbecoming of their station and status, which give people the opportunity to raise an accusing finger at them? Is it to prove that they are above the law, rules and regulations? That, they can do whatever they wish as if Pakistan was their personal property or fiefdom? Obviously, they seem to wear shoes that are TOO large for them.
