An Open Letter to General Kayani

Dear General Sahib,
We the overseas Pakistanis thank Allah for the restoration of judiciary in Pakistan. The nation, including the media, civil bodes, attorneys and the leaders of some political parties, have all acclaimed your silent contribution in this regard. You advised the parties to approach the issue in a spirit of re-conciliation and you kept the army out of politics.
General Sahib, through your patriotic and astute handling of this difficult and sensitive issue, you have earned the gratitude of the nation. Please permit me to say that you won the heart of the nation through your exemplary conduct.
Recall of the army personnel from civilian organizations was a milestone, as was your order to stop the construction of the Army complex because of the fund crisis.
Your name shall go down in history not only as a great leader of our valiant armed forces but also as one who championed the cause of democracy in Pakistan. May Allah keep you and your family in His protection and may our armed forces continue to be equipped with superior weapons and professional training to deter any foreign aggression. Ameen.
I only wish that our politicians draw lessons from your honesty and sincerity.
