Upholding Law

Equiponderance is the principle on which hangs the universe. Balance is the factor which controls the judiciary.
I have been residing in the USA for the last five years. The law enforcement agencies, particularly the Police officers here, are so powerful that they can detain anyone whatever his stature or background. The inference: the law remains supreme in the States.
But in Pakistan where a democratic government is now at the helm there are quite a disconcerting developments. The way the lawyers recently behaved in the court was seen all over the world. When the custodians of law take the law into their own hands and shower un-parliamentary remarks on the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, their behavior is a clear indication of the direction in which the country is heading. May I remind your readers of what Hazrat Ali R.A. said to emphasize the all-important role of the judiciary, "Nations can exist if they commit shirk but cannot exist if they commit injustice." The way these disturbing events are taking place no investor would feel tempted to invest in Pakistan.
I do not have any intentions to depress my fellow countrymen but these are the harsh facts of life. The events seem to send out a cryptic message: we are heading towards a revolution, which will pave the way for a new Pakistan. It is only a matter of time.
We must restore justice and ensure that all orders of the courts are speedily implemented within the parameters of the Constitution.
