Ignoring Muslims Is the Media’s Own Loss

Professor Nazeer Ahmed’s series is very informative and well written, and I anxiously wait every week to read it. Arif Hussaini’s article ‘Bureaucratic Blunder’ depicted the reality of life with a humor that was far superior to what we see on comedy central. It is unfortunate that we don’t have our own electronic media to enrich our society with the enriching experiences of our talented people.
Considering the Muslim talent to be an impediment in its bid to sell its own half-truths, the mainstream media is ignoring us to its own loss. Thanks to all those rich guys in the community who are either busy making their palatial dwellings, and can’t think of any other bigger charitable work than building a mosques for people to quarrel over its control. The result is that as one of the rich group of Americans we do not have an Independent and responsible Muslim Media.
What we have in the name of Aljazeera is a Muslim version of other 24 hours news channel in the west. Both of them are working 24 hours a day to fan the flames of hatred and suspicion against each other in their respective sphere of influence to advance their selfish interests in the name of clash of civilizations.
