A Royal Dinner for a VIP Guest!

In his newly published autobiography, Tony Blair narrates about his stay with the Royal family at Balmorals, in 1998 where the Royal family served the food and washed the dishes. He writes as follows:
“You think I am joking, but I am not. You are sitting in front of your empty plate and suddenly, the Queen clears it away from you. They put the gloves on and stick their hands in the sink.”
This reminds me about Lady Diana who was in Lahore with Lady Goldsmith ( Jemima’s mother), to visit Shaukat Khanum Hospital. They were staying in a house in Model Town and were getting ready to go to the Hospital. As narrated by Lady Goldsmith, Pakistani hosts were taken aback when Diana shouted to Lady Goldsmith from upstairs :” I have finished ironing my dress. Do you want me to iron anything for you?”
