The universal language of poetry has been used for centuries to express creativity. The artist has a message from within the depths of his soul that demands to be revealed to the world. Words within the matrix of poetry, is a medium by which the greats of the past spoke to us. I find it difficult to define myself in terms of identity. I am a Muslim, Pakistani, and American all wrapped up in one body. However, my outlook on life and values are more inclusive. Growing up, universal values were instilled in me. Through my art and poetry I like to express universal concepts that people from various walks of life can understand. As a citizen of the world and an inhabitant of this global community, the goal of my work is to promote peace, love and tolerance. The following poems are musings I wrote about various topics:
Believe and Fly
Believe…
In the One
And let the Sun of Bliss
Cast the shadow of Hope on you
Relieve...
Let the leaf of bliss
Emerge from the branch of being
As the rain drop of dismay
Cautiously trickles away
Perceive…
The pearls of perception
As they are the necklace of opportunity
which encompasses you.
Roar...
Although the tiger of tenacity roars silently tonight
Unleash it intermittently and
Listen to it calmly
Energy…
Your sacred temple may be perturbed,
Yet its temporality is evident
Use your energy! For it has lit the candle of countless hearts
Strive….
The horses of lucid love are running away
Towards the tides of endless time
Catch them with your healing hands!
Truth is your mirror, It is your Reflection
Truth is forever, It is your Perfection
So hold on to the wings of Hope & let him fly you away!
Into the skies of oneness
Into the array of nothingness
And Into the realm of pure joy
Be…
Believe…
Feel….
Perceive…
Try…
Never release those wings and forever fly!
