A Personal Tribute to Neil Armstrong

The scheduled First Moon Landing was widely publicized by NASA in 1969 around the same time when I was about to get married. Both Shahana and I decided to be part of this memorable occasion and tied our knots together on the historic day of July 20, 1969 when Apollo 11 landed on the moon and Neil Armstrong became the first man in history to put his foot on the moon.
Neil Armstrong and his first moon-landing had always been in our thoughts on every one of the forty wedding anniversaries I shared with my loving and deceased wife, Shahana. I am really saddened by his death.
Although Neil Armstrong was on the top of the world, he was extremely humble and always kept a very low profile. He was simply and truly a great American hero. May Almighty Allah bless him and also our great country. Ameen!
