A Soul-Lifting Spectacle: Pakistan Day Parade in Islamabad

I have been living in the US for the last three decades, but my patriotic spirit takes me back to Pakistan every year to celebrate the Independence Day on August 14th. However, this year I had planned to celebrate the 78th Pakistan Day on the soil of my beloved country.
On March 23rd, 2018, I was among those honored civilians who witnessed the Pakistan Day parade at the Parade Grounds near the Shakarparian Hills in Islamabad. The marchpast of our brave men and women from Pakistan Army, Navy and Air Force and the flight demonstration of Army Aviation, Pakistan Air Force, and the skydivers' amazing skills in the sky, and the feats of the talented Air Force pilots really inspired me.
Their excellent performance filled my heart with overwhelming emotions of pride for my country and nation. No matter which part of the world we live in, we will always belong to Pakistan. Pakistan, the dream of DrAllama Iqbal and a reality on earth, established by the dedicated efforts of our beloved leader Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Pakistan, a free nation, united on one platform and created for a special cause. Pakistan, a symbol of power and spiritual strength. Celebrating Pakistan Day and seeing live the remarkable performances of our soldiers, gave me the sensation that Allah has chosen this land for the guidance and growth of our faith.
Since the day Pakistan came into being, Allah has protected our land against all kinds of evils and enemies. Prayers and sacrifices of our elders are the power behind its survival. No one in the world would deny that Pakistan’s creation is one of the greatest miracles on the map of this universe. Its extraordinary civilization, landscape, natural resources and infrastructure are the blessings of Allah for the people of Pakistan. Sixth World Happiness Report of 2018 revealed that Pakistan is ahead on the Happiness Ranking among all its neighboring countries like India, Iran, China and Afghanistan. Thank you Quaid-i-Azam for your wise and excellent decision and giving us our own free country, “A Paradise on Earth”. May Allah protect Pakistan and let it prosper, discipline the nation to fulfill the hope and faith of Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and give our Quaid the highest place in Jinnah. Ameen.
