“A Mercy unto Mankind”
A Dedication to the Prophet (pbuh) from East to West

Professor Akbar Ahmed’s essay on the Holy Prophet of Islam is superbly crafted.
It is saturated with love and devotion for God and His Beloved. It melds the celestial aspects of his personality with the terrestrial in a spiritual framework. It integrates history with autobiography, the personal with the cosmic – the lyric of his days with the epic of his life. Indeed, this is a masterpiece – both a testament of love and a fragment of art.
My felicitations for penning such a meaningful essay. It also serves to further the enlightened Professor’s vision of interfaith without compromising on the principle that Ahmed shall be Ahmed!
