Isn’t It Time to Reflect on Our Own Actions?

We have repeatedly requested US senators, congress members, and assembly members to stop supporting the Israeli government and to cease providing aid that perpetuates war. However, these efforts have not yielded the desired results. One of the reasons lies within our own actions. On the one hand, we support the Palestinian cause and their struggle against oppression, and on the other, some among us request the US senators, congress members, and assembly members to interfere in our home countries’ politics. We ask them to influence leadership appointments. This is demonstrably double standards. We criticize US interference in our home countries, condemning their role in appointing leaders of their choice. Yet, we turn to Congress for the same interference, lobbying for regime changes in our countries. Spending millions on lobbying is not only hypocritical but also haram.

Isn’t it time to reflect on our own actions?
